The archived K 40 SQ-FL uses a Mylar diaphragm and metal basket in a very flat frame. Visaton specifies 0.3 W rated power, 0.5 W maximum power, 8 Ω impedance, 280–12000 Hz response, 81 dB mean sound pressure and a 36 mm cut-out.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Use the manufacturer drawing to confirm cut-out, depth and fixing positions before machining the enclosure.

Connect an amplifier suitable for the stated nominal impedance and observe terminal polarity where marked.

Mount the unit on a rigid, sealed baffle where required and keep drive within the manufacturer's rated and maximum limits.

Front-side IP65 protection requires mounting in a sealed enclosure; the complete installation must protect the rear and connections.
