Description

The DL 13/2 ES is a ceiling speaker with a brushed stainless steel face for music and speech. Spring arms hold it in a circular opening, and spring terminals simplify the connection. This 8 Ω version handles 30 W. Its two-way coaxial driver makes it suitable for home and professional music systems.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Prepare a 150 mm circular cut-out for the 165 mm face. Hold the spring arms back for insertion and let them grip the rear of the ceiling panel. Allow for the 51.5 mm depth shown in the dimension drawing, plus access for the connections and cable. Check the panel can support the complete fitting.

Connect to an amplifier suitable for the 8 Ω load, observing the terminal polarity. Use the spring-terminal connection on the supplied 0.1 m lead. Support the cable so it does not pull on the connection.

IP54 protection applies to the front only when the speaker is built into a sealed enclosure; additional bonding may be needed. The open rear and connections require protection appropriate to the installation.

For concrete or fire-protection ceilings, select a suitable separate housing for the complete installation. The speaker alone does not establish a fire rating for the ceiling.
