Description

The FRW 10 N provides speech and music reproduction for electronic equipment and compact sound systems. Its 160 g construction keeps added weight low, while the 120 Hz resonance and balanced response make it useful where a small monitoring speaker needs some lower-frequency reach. This 8 Ω version handles 10 W rated power.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Allow space for the 102 mm square frame and 38.2 mm depth shown in the drawing, plus the terminals and cable bends. Check the basket and fixing slots against the actual panel before machining; nominal speaker size is not the required cut-out.

Mount on a rigid panel with a continuous seal around the frame to prevent air leaks and rattles. Keep the cone and surround clear of the grille and internal parts.

Use an amplifier suitable for the 8 Ω load and follow the polarity marks. Check blade width and thickness before choosing connectors, insulate the connections and secure the wiring clear of the moving parts.

Test the driver in the intended enclosure before fixing the cabinet design. Keep the rear acoustic space clear and check low-frequency cone travel at the intended operating level; a small driver’s usable bass depends on the enclosure and required output.
