Description

The R 10 SC adds magnetic shielding, a water-repellent cone and a rubber gasket to the efficient R 10 S design, so it can sit close to screens and cope with damp or cold conditions. This 4 Ω version handles 20 W rated power and suits control speakers, public-address and public transport systems.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Allow for a 93 mm panel opening and a 102 mm square frame with four 5 x 6.9 mm fixing slots. Leave about 44 mm behind the panel for the shielded magnet assembly, terminals and wiring.

Seat the rubber gasket evenly against a flat panel so the front-side protection is effective; the IP rating applies only to the front when the driver is built into a sealed enclosure.

Use connectors that fit the 5.2 x 0.5 mm positive and 2.8 x 0.5 mm negative blade terminals. Use an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load and observe terminal polarity. For a 100 V line system, connect through a suitable line transformer; do not connect the driver directly to the line.

Optional protective grilles for 10 cm drivers are available; match the grille to the panel finish and check its fixing pattern against the frame before drilling.
