Description

The CP 13 has a polycarbonate cone and a ferrofluid-cooled voice coil, giving a very linear response, crisp highs and excellent dispersion from a small body. Supplied as a pair with mounting rings and connecting cables. The tweeters can be flush or surface mounted. This 4 Ω version takes 60 W with a 12 dB/oct. high-pass from 6000 Hz and gives 86 dB (1 W/1 m).

Installation and cabinet guidance

For flush mounting cut a 33.5 mm hole: the 39 mm front ring covers the edge and the 34 mm body sits 18 mm deep behind the panel. For surface mounting use the supplied pod, 30 mm in diameter and 25 mm high. The mounting ring and connecting cables are included, so leave room behind the panel for the cable and its connector.

Whether flush or surface mounted, fix it so that it cannot move or rattle and keep the grille clear of obstructions. Connect the supplied cables with the included connectors and observe polarity. Route and secure the cable so it cannot chafe or foul anything that moves. The power ratings apply only with a 12 dB/oct. high-pass filter from 6000 Hz, so feed it through the system crossover or a high-pass filter that gives at least that protection; never connect it directly to a full-range signal. Use an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load. The magnet system is shielded.
