Description

The K 50 is a compact miniature speaker with a Mylar diaphragm and metal basket. The 4 Ω version is rated at 2 W, covers 250–10000 Hz and has a 45 mm cut-out. The manufacturer lists IP65 for the front side only when the speaker is built into a sealed enclosure.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Check the 45 mm cut-out and the complete current dimension drawing before fitting. Allow clearance behind the panel for the speaker, solder lugs and wiring.

Connect the solder lugs to an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load and keep the leads supported and clear of the moving parts. Keep drive within the published 2 W rating.

The IP65 rating applies to the front side only when the speaker is built into a sealed enclosure; the manufacturer notes that gluing and a front cover or grille may be needed. Do not treat the speaker alone as a complete weatherproof installation.

The published operating temperature range is −40 to 70 °C. Confirm the enclosure, sealing and environmental exposure for the actual equipment before ordering.
