The BF 37 uses a neodymium magnet and generous cone travel to support music and speech in compact equipment. It is designed for small vented enclosures or systems with a passive radiator. This 8 Ω version has its own motor and enclosure parameters, so use the matching data when designing the cabinet.
Typical applications
- Compact music systems
- Information terminals
- Displays

Installation and cabinet guidance
Allow for the 37 mm frame and leave clearance for the solder lugs and moving surround. Check the basket profile and overall depth against the actual driver before cutting a close-fitting panel.
Seal the mounting joint into a sealed enclosure and protect the rear and terminals from moisture. IPX4 applies to the front only; adhesive and a front grille may be needed to complete the seal.
Use an amplifier suitable for the 8 Ω load and follow the polarity marks. Solder without prolonged heating, insulate the joints and secure the wires so they cannot touch the cone or pull on the lugs.
Use the matching impedance version’s parameters to develop a small vented or passive-radiator enclosure. Check cone travel at the intended level and use high-pass filtering where needed to limit excessive low-frequency excursion. Verify the tuning in the finished cabinet.
