Description

The DL 18/2 uses a two-way coaxial driver behind a white, corrosion-resistant grille for music and speech in suspended ceilings. The speaker and mounting ring fit into a round opening, and the grille attaches with a bayonet connection. This version includes a 100 V transformer with 20, 10 and 5 W taps.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Prepare a 200 mm circular cut-out for the 218 mm face. Fit the speaker with its mounting ring using the snap-in fixings, then attach the grille with the bayonet connection. Allow for the 93 mm depth shown in the dimension drawing for the full fixing-bracket envelope, plus access for the connections and cable. Check the panel can support the complete fitting.

Connect the 100 V speaker line at the spring terminals and select the required 20 W/10 W/5 W tap according to the terminal markings. Keep polarity consistent and account for the chosen tap in the amplifier’s total line load. The transformer is included.

FD 18 (50103) and FD 18 L (50123) are optional rear covers. They are not suitable for F30 fire-protection ceilings; a separate suitable ceiling-housing system is required where the installation calls for one.
