Description

The DL 8 is a ceiling speaker with a white, ral 9010 face for music and speech. Spring arms hold it in a circular opening, and spring terminals simplify the connection. This version includes a 100 V transformer with 3 W/1.5 W/0.75 W taps.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Prepare a 93 mm circular cut-out for the 105 mm face. Hold the spring arms back for insertion and let them grip the rear of the ceiling panel. Allow for the 74 mm depth shown in the dimension drawing, plus access for the connections and cable. Check the panel can support the complete fitting.

Connect the 100 V speaker line at the spring terminals and select the required 3 W/1.5 W/0.75 W tap according to the terminal markings. Keep polarity consistent and account for the chosen tap in the amplifier’s total line load. The transformer is included.

IP54 protection applies to the front only when the speaker is built into a sealed enclosure; additional bonding may be needed. The open rear and connections require protection appropriate to the installation.

For concrete or fire-protection ceilings, select a suitable separate housing for the complete installation. The speaker alone does not establish a fire rating for the ceiling.
