Description

The FR 10 HMP combines a waterproof coated cone with a European standard basket for vehicle and motorhome installations. Its dual-cone design covers speech and music without a separate tweeter. The 4 Ω driver handles 20 W rated power; front-side IP64 protection depends on fitting it into a sealed enclosure.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Allow for a 94 mm panel opening and match the slotted fixings to the vehicle mounting. Leave clearance for the magnet, projecting terminals and window mechanisms. Optional grilles: 4642, 4640 and 4744.

Seal the mounting joint into a sealed enclosure and protect the rear and terminals from moisture. IP64 applies to the front only; adhesive and a front grille may be needed to complete the seal.

Use an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load and follow the polarity marks. Check blade width and thickness before choosing connectors, insulate the connections and secure the wiring clear of the moving parts.

Test the driver in the intended enclosure before fixing the cabinet design. Keep the rear acoustic space clear and check low-frequency cone travel at the intended operating level; a small driver’s usable bass depends on the enclosure and required output.
