Description

The BF 45 uses a silver-coloured aluminium diaphragm and transparent plastic basket to fit music and speech reproduction into a small space. Two mounting lugs simplify fitting in narrow equipment. This 4 Ω version handles 4 W rated power and weighs 32 g, with a 45 mm panel opening.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Allow for a 45 mm opening and two fixing lugs. Check the depth and fixing pitch against the actual driver before machining a close-fitting housing. Tighten the fixings evenly without bending the plastic lugs.

Mount on a rigid panel with a continuous seal around the frame to prevent air leaks and rattles. Keep the cone and surround clear of the grille and internal parts.

Use an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load and follow the polarity marks. Solder without prolonged heating, insulate the joints and secure the wires so they cannot touch the cone or pull on the lugs.

Test the driver in the intended enclosure before fixing the cabinet design. Keep the rear acoustic space clear and check low-frequency cone travel at the intended operating level; a small driver’s usable bass depends on the enclosure and required output.
