The R 10 S is a compact 10 cm full-range driver with a balanced frequency response and high sensitivity, making it a dependable control and announcement speaker for electronic equipment, rail vehicles and buses. This 4 Ω version handles 20 W rated power and has 5.2 x 0.5 mm and 2.8 x 0.5 mm blade terminals.

Installation and cabinet guidance

Allow for a 93 mm panel opening and a 102 mm square frame with four 5 x 6.9 mm fixing slots. Leave about 36 mm behind the panel for the basket, magnet and terminals, plus room for the wiring.

Use connectors that fit the 5.2 x 0.5 mm positive and 2.8 x 0.5 mm negative blade terminals. Use an amplifier suitable for the 4 Ω load and observe terminal polarity. For a 100 V line system, connect through a suitable line transformer; do not connect the driver directly to the line.

Optional protective grilles for 10 cm drivers are available; match the grille to the panel finish and check its fixing pattern against the frame before drilling.
